Morgan Njobo I Creative Director
Background: Member of an a cappella group Simply Soweto Encha. Soweto urban and traditional dancer, clap and tap choir singer and conductor, Tswana and gumboot dance coach. Created music and choreography for a 2010 World Cup Sowetan musical, directed own shows with Simply Soweto Encha members since 2008.
Projects: Toured across Europe and the UK in an acappella group since 2008, performed at the Edinburgh Fringe annually since 2011. Co-conducted drumming, singing and dance workshops funded by Arts Council England and Wales.
Luntu Masiza I Script Developer
Background: Awarded Dudley College BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. Developed and co-wrote scripts
Projects: filming project with West Midlands Police, production of Romeo and Juliet, the Crucible. Involved with a theatre company called 1st Chance based at the Birmingham Rep as as well as community projects aimed at inspiring young people in their local area.
Beata Skobodzinska I Production Manager/just Festival
Background: Project, Events and Festival Manager since 2006. Awarded Diploma in Managerial Studies and Festival Management. Festival Director with Edinburgh just festival (part of Edinburgh Fringe Festival), booking agent for 2014 UK tour of Simply Soweto Encha.
Projects: Managed youth active citizenship projects, developed and managed project artwork and websites as well as social media campaigns; fundraised for and co-directed a documentary film about Simply Soweto Encha 'Songs from Soweto: an a cappella journey', a joint production between Edinburgh just festival and Simply Soweto Encha.
